What is a courier?

A courier is a private business or individual that is dedicated to the pickup and delivery of packages, parcels and documents for a various types of customers including hospitals, law firms, retail stores and residential.  Like FedEx, but smaller.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?

Unlike FedEx or UPS, couriers specialize in local same-day delivery and/or expedited regional delivery, without delayed processes such as warehouse sorting. Deliveries typically stay with the same driver and go directly form origin to destination, depending on what type of service the customer chose and how many other deliveries the courier has en route.

Types Of Services?

Since the types of customers can vary drastically, their delivery needs are equally unique. This also means the type of delivery services offered must vary depending on the type of customer and their specific delivery need. For example, hospitals may need temperature control for lab specimens, or law firms may need rush service for time sensitive document filing.  For this reason couriers may offer routed, on-demand or rush service, each with a different pricing matrix.
